Fatmatu Jalloh
Ms. Fatmatu Jalloh is the Managing Attorney of Jalloh, LLC., where she brings over 15 years of experience in immigration law, with a specialization in family-based and employment-based immigration. She is a dedicated advocate for immigrants, offering strategic legal counsel and representation to individuals, families, and businesses navigating complex immigration processes.
Before founding Jalloh, LLC., Ms. Jalloh operated her private practice, successfully handling a wide range of immigration matters, including VAWA petitions, family-based applications, removal defense, and naturalization cases. Her legal expertise extends beyond immigration, having worked on probate matters, advised small business owners, and provided regulatory compliance counsel.
Ms. Jalloh’s experience also includes serving as a Senior FOIA Analyst for a federal agency, where she has worked extensively with U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Energy. Additionally, she has conducted FOIA requests to support immigration cases and led financial, antitrust, medical patent, and securities eDiscovery reviews.
She has held various impactful roles throughout her career, including an internship as an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) specialist with the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, volunteer work with Legal Services of Northern Virginia, and participation in the high-profile trial of former Liberian President Charles Taylor for the Special Court of Sierra Leone.
Ms. Jalloh is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and also a certified mediatorunder the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service.
Her personal journey fuels her passion for immigration law. Born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, Ms. Jalloh immigrated to the United States as an Asylee in her teens and later became a naturalized U.S. citizen. This lived experience gives her a unique perspective on the challenges immigrants face and strengthens her commitment to providing accessible and high-quality legal services to the community.

Bernadette Chimah
Ms. Bernadette Chimah serves as Of Counsel for Jalloh, LLC., bringing a wealth of legal experience across both the public and private sectors. She has held multiple positions within the federal government and has worked with non-profit organizations supporting federal initiatives, gaining invaluable insight into regulatory frameworks and policy compliance.
Ms. Chimah’s legal expertise spans small business law, family and domestic relations, and personal injury, where she provides strategic counsel and advocacy to individuals and businesses navigating complex legal matters.
A dedicated advocate for community service, Ms. Chimah volunteers with the District of Columbia Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program and the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, where she offers legal support to underserved populations.
She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Nigerian American Lawyers Association (NALA), the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association (ABA).

Francess Issa-Katta
Ms. Francess Issa-Mwangi serves as Of Counsel for Jalloh, LLC., bringing extensive experience in family law, trademark and intellectual property law, human rights law, and corporate governance. She has held key leadership roles, including serving as Head of Legal Corporate Affairs for Skye Bank (Sierra Leone) Ltd. and Head of Corporate and Commercial Law for the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (Sierra Leone), where she advised on regulatory compliance, corporate transactions, and commercial disputes.
Ms. Mwangi has also played a pivotal role in access to justice initiatives, working with international organizations such as the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID), the German International Corporation (GIZ), and Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI) to promote legal reforms and expand legal aid services.
In addition to her legal practice, she has shared her expertise as a part-time lecturer in contracts law and human rights lawfor several years. She remains deeply committed to human rights advocacy, providing pro bono legal support to women and children impacted by harmful traditional practices in Sierra Leone.
