Fatmatu Jalloh
Ms. Fatmatu Jalloh is the managing Attorney of Jalloh, LLC., Attorney at Law, possessing extensive legal knowledge in her area of expertise. Prior to the establishment of this joint venture, Ms. Jalloh was in private practice through which she provided a variety of legal services, including successfully completing VAWA petitions, family based applications, handling immigration removal hearings, probate issues, and advising small business owners. She also interned as an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) specialist with Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, volunteered with Legal Services of Northern Virginia, and worked on the high profile trial of former Liberian President, Charles Taylor, for the Special Court of Sierra Leone. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), and a licensed mediator under the auspices of the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service. Ms. Jalloh shares the firm’s deep sense of commitment to providing access to affordable legal services to the community. Most importantly, Ms. Jalloh has a unique perspective and a passion for immigration practice given that she was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, before she migrated to the US in her teens as an Asylee and later naturalized as a US Citizen.

Bernadette Chimah
Ms. Bernadette Chimah serves as Of Counsel for Jalloh, LLC. Ms. Chimah’s prior work experience includes working in several positions within the federal government, as well as working in a non-profit organization providing support to the federal government. Ms. Chimah possesses legal expertise in small business law, family and domestic relations, and personal injury. Currently, she is a volunteer with the District of Columbia Court Appointed Special Advocate Program and the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland. She is a member of the Nigerian American Lawyers Association (NALA), J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association (ABA). Ms. Chimah is a Washington, D.C. native and shares the firm’s deep commitment to serving the community through affordable legal representation.

Francess Issa-Katta
Ms. Francess Issa-Katta serves as Of Counsel for Jalloh, LLC. Ms. Katta’s prior work experience includes but is not limited to family law, trademark and intellectual property law, human rights law, and she has served as the head of legal corporate affairs for Skye Bank (Sierra Leone), Ltd., and head of corporate and commercial law for the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (Sierra Leone). Ms. Katta has also provided leadership on various access to justice projects implemented by International Non-Governmental Organizations such as the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID), the German International Corporation (GIZ) and Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI). Ms. Katta worked as a part time contracts law and human rights law lecturer for several years. Ms. Katta continues to provide pro-bono human rights advocacy to women and children that come into conflict with harmful traditional practices in her home country Sierra Leone. Ms. Katta shares the firm’s deep commitment to serving the community through affordable legal representation.
